Practise familiar learning

Use words already taught. The first section offers a reading and copying model; the second gives spelling or word-study practice. Open drawing, meaning and sentence activities have teacher guidance rather than one fixed answer. An adult can read instructions aloud.

Choose a route

Book sequence keeps the 87 Ready to Read points and uses their source examples by default. Sound and spelling uses the existing 44 sound/correspondence choices. Word parts and meanings uses the existing 25 prefixes, suffixes and roots. Year and word-level choices suggest difficulty; they are not attainment standards.

Use A4 portrait at 100% scale and disable browser headers and footers. Four focus words fit per worksheet page. A narrow selection may provide fewer words. Print teacher guidance separately.

Scope and sources

This is supplementary phonics, spelling and word-study practice, not a complete reading or English curriculum. The source release's Ready to Read examples and Hauora-curated banks are retained. Added sound and morphology annotations have not been independently specialist-reviewed. A selected sound does not mean every correspondence in its words has been taught.
